Turning Presentations Into Courses

|

Sometimes, our hands are tied. And we have an 50 page eLearning course with a difficult SME that doesn't want something creative. But there are a few things you can do to help respect eh learner's time in their already busy day.
  1. Put definitions into optional pop-up boxes. The content is still there for new learners, and tenured learners can skip.
  2. Use audio voice over selectively. Learners can read faster than they can listen. You won’t need a voice over for objectives, summaries, title slides, etc – just focus the audio on the learning content instead.
  3. Flip it. Reverse it. Have the learner do the assessment first – and if the pass – then the course is optional.
